Introducing Nouveau: Andy Waugh’s visionary 90-meter mega yacht concept
The appearance of the Nouveau mega yacht concept captures the imagination. The walls’ flowing interlacing lines, which encircle multiple decks, resemble tentacles.
The works of classical Art Nouveau exponents like Antoni Gaudi and Alphonse Mucha had an influence on the design of Nouveau, the creation of British designer Andy Waugh.
Art Nouveau, which first appeared at the turn of the 20th century, was a popular style in western Europe and the United States up until the First World War. Flowing curves modeled after natural forms and elaborate linear shapes were characteristics of the style.
The Nouveau super yacht’s design boldly and creatively embodies the fundamental ideas of dynamism and organic shape. The dramatic design of the yacht’s flowing curves allows for a main deck head clearance of 2.7 meters, creating a roomy interior. The owner’s full-width deck, replete with a suite and two balconies, two VIP cabins with retractable balconies, and the main deck entrance beneath, are all located on the bridge deck.
