Yelawolf Recalls Getting Caught in the Crossfire of the Eminem vs MGK Beef

Imagine that you have a dream collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly in the works, a banging beat from DJ Paul, and Eminem on your wish list. As Yelawolf put together “Trunk Muzik 3,” that was his reality, and the project was caught in the crosshairs of the iconic feud.

 Yelawolf recently explained the awkward scenario on Drink Champs, outlining how everything went wrong. With himself, MGK, and Eminem, he imagined a firestorm of a song—“the craziest three white boys record ever,” as DJ Paul described it. With his verse ready to go and MGK feeling all fired up about it, the rap god himself was the only thing lacking. However, radio silence continued for months.

 The timing couldn’t have been worse: Yelawolf was completely unaware that Eminem was working on a diss tune specifically directed at MGK. When Eminem’s diss came out just before “Trunk Muzik 3” hit stores, Yelawolf was unaware of this secrecy. Yelawolf was suddenly engulfed in a hip-hop whirlwind.
