Kyrie Irving gave his wife an expensive mansion to thank her for giving birth to his child

Chef Geraldine Gilliland sold her Malibu mountain property for $18 million after listing it over a year ago. Drederick Irving, father of Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving, spent $10.7 million for the home, $7.4 million less than the initial asking price.

Over 20 years ago, Gilliland, owner of Santa Monica’s Lula Cocina Mexicana, bought “Rancho Chiquita” to expand her land.

The 40-acre property has hosted weddings, parties, “The Voice” shooting, and a charitable dog rescue. On 225 acres with beach and mountain vistas, the gated estate has a hacienda-style main villa and detached guesthouse.
