Serena Williams shared a candid glimpse into her busy life as a mother of two to kick off 2024. The 42-year-old tennis star took to TikTok on January 1, reflecting on becoming a parent again in 2023.

Serena and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, have two daughters – Olympia, six, and Adira, six months. The clip shows Serena pulling off her wig and sighing after returning from the CFDA Fashion Awards in November, where she won the Fashion Icon Award.

Despite looking tired from the night out, she quickly doted on her youngest daughter, balancing the demands of being a new mom with her other commitments.

“That’s coming home from winning Icon of the Year,” Serena’s friend said off-camera. That night, Serena wore a black sequin floor-length gown with a billowing cape and cascading train.

Reflecting on that night and her experience as a mother of two, Serena captioned her TikTok, “My 2023 included having a baby. After having a baby, it kind of feels like you got hit by a bus. Not only your body, but your mind too. (Well, at least for me.) Here’s to 2024 … And getting my mind and body back!”

On Instagram, Serena shared how she rang in the New Year with her 17.1 million followers. The sporting star uploaded outtakes of her and her family hitting the ocean on a raft. Joined by her husband Alexis and their daughter Olympia, the family donned life vests for the adventure, with Alexis looking adorable in a pink variety.

Serena’s New Year post also featured fun snapshots of the family dressed as pirates, enjoying the outdoors on a yacht. Little Olympia sported black and red striped trousers, a ruffled white shirt, and a black vest with gold buttons, while Serena complemented her in a black and red asymmetric skirt and a black blouse with long bell sleeves.

Two days earlier, Serena shared photos from a hike, dressed in a black co-ord consisting of skintight leggings and a snug-fitting zip-up jacket. In another Instagram Story, she humorously removed her blonde wig while cradling Adira.

Back in November, Serena gave her followers a look at a personal moment at home via a TikTok snippet. In the clip, Olympia adorably pinched her baby sister’s cheeks while talking to her, captioned, “Olympia is obsessed with being a big sis. She’s always pinching Adira’s cheeks.”
