In early 2020, Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning artist, made his new residence in Lagos, the bustling commercial and artistic hub of Nigeria.

The stunning two-story mansion, located in Lekki, was meticulously designed by Burna’s architect, Akose Enebeli, with the intention of providing a private sanctuary for the artist himself.

When Burna first laid eyes on Enebeli’s plans for the future home, he was absolutely blown away and couldn’t contain his excitement.

As a renowned Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper with residences around the world, Burna was truly captivated by the design. “He couldn’t help but exclaim, ‘Wow, wow, you’re bursting my brain!’” recalls Enebeli in an interview with AD.

Enebeli’s architectural masterpiece stands as a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of Lagos, a megacity inhabited by over 20 million people.

The expansive 13,000 square foot building boasts an elegant facade adorned in beige and gray tones and is equipped with all the modern luxuries one could desire.

From high ceilings to a personal theater, lounges, and a game room, every aspect of lavish living is meticulously catered to.

Additionally, the mansion features tall windows that allow ample natural light to illuminate the space and provides an abundance of garage space.

The split-level design spans a total of 3,700 square feet, divided into two distinct sections. One area houses a recording studio, gym, and guest artist accommodations, while the other serves as Burna’s private domain. Within this section, the artist can retreat to his principal bedroom suite, complete with a private terrace and a gathering place for his closest companions.

Downstairs, the absence of doors creates a seamless flow between the interconnected rooms, forming a continuous open space. The main living room, notable for its generous proportions and a sizable window overlooking meticulously manicured gardens, serves as a focal point within the residence.

Hailing from Port Harcourt, a region located approximately 384 miles away in Nigeria’s Rivers State, Burna sought to infuse the compound with the tranquility of lagoons, creeks, and the natural flora of his birthplace. “I have a lot of Rivers stuff, water noises. It’s very water-inspired, that’s all. It’s serene. Nature communicates with me,” Burna explains.

Internally, the house boasts pristine all-white walls, creating a serene ambiance throughout. Burna has curated a collection of striking art pieces to adorn the space, including golden insect sculptures, a marble half-horse sculpture, a female bust, and the Throne of Grace sourced from Lagos. Additionally, an artwork featuring bicycles was crafted by Atelier 225, adding a unique touch to the interior.
