Inside Snoop Dogg’s years-long rap feud with Eminem after rapper claimed 8 Mile star ‘wasn’t among genre’s best’
After getting into a rivalry in 2020, SNOOP Dogg and Eminem are now sharing a Suρer Bowl performance. When Snoop Dogg, 50, stated in an interview that he didn’t think Eminem, 49, was one of the best rappers of all time, it ignited a feud between the two legendary figures in hip-hop. Eminem wasn’t on Snoop’s list of the top 10 rappers of all time when he revealed to The Breakfast Club, a nationally syndicated radio program, who he thought were the best rappers of all time.
Snoop stated that the rapper’s success was primarily attributable to his affiliation with Dr. Dre in response to a question concerning the other Dr. Dre mentee. Snoop, whose actual nаme is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., continued by saying that while he saw Eminem as “one of my teammates, one of my brothers” at the time, he could live without his music.
In reaction to Snoop’s remarks, Eminem—real nаme Marshall Mathers—released a diss track in 2020 called Zeus. In his verses, Eminem sings, “As far as squashing beef I‘m used to people knocking me / But just not in my camp / And diplomatic as I’m tryin’ to be the last thing I need is Snoop doggin’ me.”
“I had dog backwards, man, but you were like a d**n god to me,” the song goes.
